Homeless Chicago Man Donates Money To Help Homeless Woman
Meet Curtis Jackson, a homeless man who has been helping a woman who became homeless herself. Additionally, before she met him, she was taking a risk everyday of losing her child because she didn’t have an appropriate place of residence so he pays for her to stay in a hotel and gives her money for food.
Many people don’t take the time to find out why someone has become homeless as they toss their spare change into their jar and some people just keep walking without even noticing them and that’s because many people look upon the homeless as being less than themselves. Everyone has a story to tell and it really gives you something to think about when a man who has nothing is reaching out to help others. The attitude this man has makes him profoundly unique and you will come to discover this when you watch this news story.
This story reminds me of the widow found in The Book of Mark.
Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. 42 Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” ~Mark 12:41-44 NLT
